Inside our methodology: How we build trusted corporate data across complex markets

Written by Diligencia | Jun 22, 2026 2:24:45 PM

We’ve compiled our top questions from clients on our data and methodology because, in corporate intelligence, trust depends not just on coverage but on how the data is gathered, curated, reviewed and maintained. In complex jurisdictions, methodology is what turns raw information into reliable insight.

Diligencia’s database is maintained by analysts and researchers in the UK and Morocco, using a mix of official registry collection, bulk data ingestion, scheduled refresh cycles, event-driven monitoring and human review. Because access to official records differs by jurisdiction, our methodology is designed to adapt to local availability while keeping quality standards consistent.

One of the most common questions we hear is whether our records are updated in real time. In most cases, they are not, simply because many corporate registries across the Middle East and Africa do not provide live commercial API access. Instead, we combine official collection methods with scheduled refreshes and analyst validation.

Refresh frequency depends on the jurisdiction, entity type, regulatory environment, sector priority and client demand, with update cycles ranging from daily to annual review. We use automation to collect and process data at scale, but human analysts remain essential for verifying ownership structures, UBOs, affiliations and complex shareholding chains. Where information is restricted or unavailable, we only reflect officially disclosed data. Clients can also request updates directly, often triggering a priority review, and all record changes are logged as part of our audit and quality-control process.

Contact us to find out how to access our data through ClarifiedBy or via our ClientConnect API. Our database is the largest comprehensive corporate database in the MEA region and, as of June 2026, contains over 28 million profiles, with an average of 100,000 more added each week. It is a vital resource for organisations with business interests across the region.
