Strengthening MEA risk intelligence through API integration

The challenge:

A US-based corporate intelligence and investigations provider needed a reliable way to enhance the entity information available through its own platform. Working across sectors including asset management, banking, pharmaceuticals, technology and the public sector, the organisation supports clients in identifying sanctions, financial crime, supply chain, export control, investment and other compliance risks.

The provider wanted to give its clients deeper, more trustworthy insight into companies operating across the Middle East and Africa (MEA), particularly in markets such as Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and the UAE. To support effective risk screening, the organisation needed access to verified entity information, corporate structures, shareholders, management and related affiliations.

This was not a straightforward data challenge. Information across the region is often fragmented, multilingual and shaped by different naming conventions, registry systems and business cultures. Although the client already used multiple external data providers, it required clean, unequivocal and official-source information that could support its own research and strengthen the evidence base behind its platform.

The solution:

Diligencia provided access to ClientConnect, its RESTful API, enabling the client to integrate verified company intelligence directly into its own platform. The API provided continuous access to Diligencia’s growing database of official, curated content from across the MEA region, and also provided support from its team of multi-lingual analysts.

ClientConnect gave the provider a structured way to retrieve and ingest Diligencia’s legal entity data, helping to reduce entity resolution challenges such as Arabic-to-English naming variations, inconsistent transliteration and limited access to official registry information in more opaque or fragmented jurisdictions. By bringing Diligencia’s specialist regional data into its own workflow, the client could offer users a more complete view of counterparties and their related parties across complex MEA markets.

The result:

The integration gave the provider direct access to Diligencia’s growing database of verified entity information, delivered in a format that could be searched, retrieved and ingested through its own platform. This helps the organisation strengthen the due diligence services it provides to clients, while reducing the time and uncertainty associated with sourcing corporate information across challenging jurisdictions.

For the client’s users, the result is improved access to locally sourced, official and structured MEA company intelligence within an existing risk and compliance workflow. For the provider, the partnership adds specialist regional depth to its platform and supports more confident decision-making around sanctions, financial crime, supply chain, export control and investment risk.
